Yesterday was our first visit to the deer after the reopening. Unfortunately, he did not turn out as we expected. First of all the ambience: actually the charm of a country inn, but unfortunately very uncomfortable and cold in the decor. Tablecloths would make the whole thing appear much more "homey" than the placemat made of plastic, on which some of the remains of previous guests were. Organizationally, it still does not seem clear who has what to do. We quickly got drinks and cards from a friendly lady. This has also taken the cards again. But unfortunately no order added. I ordered then after 15 min. at the counter. Comment: "I'm sorry, you have taken the order". (To colleagues). It should be agreed who serves which table. Another note to the card: Since my wife does not like dry red wine, she asked the waiter for a sweet red. Unfortunately no one on the map. Too bad. On the one hand, wine is served as in the star restaurant, on the other hand, the selection is missing. To the meal: We had the game goulash from the daily recommendation. Here too, there is still room for improvement. The bread dumpling was mushy and the red cabbage tasted like from the bucket. We are better used by Jürgen Hunger. The prices in the deer would be, if the quality fits, quite appropriate. Many details do not match yet. We hope that this constructive criticism helps to get better. Conclusion: rather sobering. We are happy to pay for a menu over 20 euros. But then the ambience has to fit as well as the quality of the food. That's not the case right now.

The tables without tablecloth. The atmosphere is pretty cool. From the operation spilled drink was repeatedly successfully negated, until we then wiped it off. No coasters for the drinks. The food was okay, that is average. The service effort and friendly, but unprofessional. Priced in the upscale area. Conclusion: For the money too little power.

The food (we - 3 people - had burgers) was delicious! We will definitely come here more often in the future!

Gasthof a little dated but really well maintained, spacious room with comfortable bed, even if the room was on the street side, so few machines pass that do not bother. Buffet breakfast with a good selection of cold meats, cheeses, jams, yoghurts and various other things. Friendly staff even if they only speak German and not much English, but we understood each other the same :-) In the evening we also ate here and the dishes were really good and plentiful. If you pass by here and are hungry you will not be disappointed!

Basic hotel. The breakfast room was very small and warm and there was little choice in bread and the bread was dry. We were able to eat the first breakfast in the restaurant section, because when we went for breakfast Italians sat down at our place. We couldn't even blame them because there were no more free tables. We took our things from the table and were allowed to move to the restaurant. The rooms are very outdated, wifi in the rooms is very bad, the power of the water from the shower was very strong. There was no free parking space in front of the hotel, so we had to park behind, not a problem in itself, except that we had to climb 3 long stairs with all our luggage, there is no elevator. If there had been room for the hotel, we still had to climb 2 long flights of stairs. Staff also did not help with the luggage. There is no air conditioning in the rooms, sleeping with an open window was also not convenient because a stream of water ran outside.

Not expensive by local standards otelchik, clean room, without imagination. Everything is simple. Cozy room for breakfast. Breakfast is simple. Tasty coffee. Near Rhine Falls. Nearby and Switzerland.

The food is nice and the price is fair. The room is clean and comfortable.There are enough parking places for drivers.

Everything you think a German restaurant should be. Including the size of the portions. If you are not local to the country you will find the portions huge. I could not finish. The price is very good for what you get. Will go back again, the spätzle could be cooked longer and not so wet. Also the herb butter has a special taste wasn't my favourite. I will be back though.
